AWARDS CEREMONY
New Kensington-based company received high honors at annual Las Vegas expo
PITTSBURGH — January 22, 2007 — Leed’s, a leading supplier of promotional products and advertising specialties, was given the “2007 Supplier Star Award” by the Promotional Products Association International (PPAI) at the annual expo, which was held earlier this month in Las Vegas, Nevada. Based in New Kensington, Pennsylvania, Leed’s increased sales 16 percent in 2006, reaching an all time sales high of $275 million.
“PPAI is one of two international associations within our industry; therefore, this award speaks volumes as to how strong of a presence we have in the industry and commends our continuous growth,” said David Nicholson, president of Leed’s. This is the first year Leed’s has received the honor, putting them in the same company as BIC®, who has won the award the past 12 years.
The promotional products industry is now an $18 billion a year industry. The annual PPAI Expo featured more than 200,000 different products with an estimated 14,000 people in attendance. To date, the PPAI Expo is among the top 50 tradeshows in the country and the awards are considered to be the highest honors in the industry.
